I don't know whether they have any Intuos4 tablets in particular (those just came out, right?), but whatever model they use, they are best used by those who have the skills.

I do have some of my old (OLD I SAY) artwork up on DevianART, but again: I am out of practice + I didn't study art at university at all (no formal training) These days, I just take pictures (and not all of them are good, either).

So, we finally get concept art. Looks pretty badass. Hopefully we'll be seeing screenshots in the near future, but I won't get my hopes up.

So the picture that Regina posted with the futuristic city in the background, the technology aspect makes me think of the Hub of Time from the canceled GW Utopia:

So maybe the Hub of Time (perhaps supporting various content in the past and future) was moved to the GW2 project, and the original picture on this thread is an instance in the far future you can visit via the hub.

Yes, they're said to be the very best and came out a few months ago. But as you said below, art comes in different shapes, photography is cool too. And I'm not very proud of my "meh" drawing abilities too .

<3 the x-files one So you played Nosfe? I was a Tremere

Very cool Skype on PSP, I was actually considering buying one for that yesterday! <3 <3 <3 Japan pics! (cross fingers, I'll travel there next year)

Ooops, off-topic! But it was nice from you Regina, Martin and Linsey to put your head through the door of this thread into the community .

On-topic: on page 52 of the ImagineFX #44 magazine, there's an intringuing pic of a futuristic city from Matthew Barrett. I'm not sure it's for GW, but if it is, it's quite nice.

I don't get all the hysteria people develop when they think about upcoming releases of other companies. As if the fate of GW rested on people NOT buying other games. In reality, the fate of GW relies on people BUYING GW2.

No game is meant to be your companion for the rest of your life. Any people having that teenage "best friends forever" attitude towards one game, one console, or one anything should better drop that.

Why would GW2 struggle with competition? How about the competition struggling with GW2? When was the last time you really thought of Final Fantasy as the reference in RPG gameplay? 1997, before Bioware got big? Do you really think people will flock to the new Blizzard game by default? Competition will attack from many fronts. The competition to have gameplay appealing enough to motivate players long enough to make money off them subscribing or "microtransacting". The competition in pricing and availability (payment methods!). The competition to appeal to enough people in a gaming climate where the age difference between young gamers and old gamers is getting bigger and bigger. And the biggest hurdle for MMO companies: the competition to be able to be as immersive as either more cinematic (Kojima, 1P-RPGs) or more gimmicky (Guitars, Wiimates and breakneck Skateboards) games. The amount of boredom games can demand from the player is getting smaller and smaller. One just does not put up with things anymore that were "normal" a few years back.

Regardless of anything else, I really hope this delivers. Guild Wars is the only MMORPG that I really enjoyed, even though I'm not that great at it. If The Old Republic delivers, I'll be splitting my time with that and GWII.
